DERMAL FILLER

How do dermal fillers work?

The product is a clear gel that is injected under the skin to prop up a wrinkle or area of volume loss.  Dr. Harris uses hyaluronic acid fillers.  Hyaluronic acid is a natural gel in the skin, and is depleted with age.  Hyaluronic acid products provide a natural feel and consistency.

How long do dermal fillers last?

Dermal fillers last longer than botox.  Depending on the product and the facial location, dermal fillers can last from 9 months to up to two years.

Where are dermal fillers most effective?

The most common and effective areas are the lips (volume and definition), cheeks (cheekbone contour), nasolabial folds (folds that join the corner of the mouth to the side of the nose), marionette lines (lines that join the corner of the mouth to the sides of the chin), and tear trough (hollow between eyelids and cheek).

What can I expect during a treatment?

As the product is a gel, the treatment is a little more involved than botox.  As such, Dr. Harris uses a prescription numbing cream prior to the injections.  The dermal fillers also have freezing embedded within them, which takes effect soon after the product is injected.

How much does dermal filler cost?

The consultation is free.  Dr. Harris uses a hybrid pricing model taking into account the amount of product used and the facial location treated.  For detailed pricing information, please contact the office.
